Designed with LOVE: Love, Kindness, and Cranes

I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. — MLK

This quote from Martin Luther King Jr. was the inspiration for this design and several other recent pieces from our latest Designed with LOVE artist, Robert Poulton. Cranes are beautiful and symbolic birds. In some cultures cranes are revered as a symbol of wisdom and the dance of cranes has been described as a celebration of life.

Love, kindness and celebrating the value of life are all things we can aspire to that would make this world an even better place.

We love the mixture of typography with the dance of the cranes for this beautiful piece by Robert. A symbol of timeless hope and love.

“An encounter with a crane is a powerful experience. You are being asked to look inward, show fairness to all persons, and protect your wisdom while sharing it in appropriate ways. In short, you are being shown the way to balance and good fortune.”

Robert Poulton is the Vice President of Marketing and Branding for NBC-owned television stations in Boston, Massachusetts, including NBC10 Boston, NBC Sports Boston, Telemundo Boston and NECN (New England Cable Network). Prior to joining NBC, Robert was the head of design for CNN Creative Marketing group in Atlanta, where he was responsible for brand and promotion design across all of CNN’s platforms. While at CNN, Robert was integral to the launch of shows and initiatives such as the CNN Films franchise, Anderson Cooper 360° and Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. Robert began his broadcast career in Toronto with Global Television and is a proud graduate of Sheridan College and Seneca College.
